Jamie

Born in western Massachusetts, Jamie grew up on Florida’s Space Coast among the sand and citrus.  After graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in geography she chose to follow a hobby interest in plants and took a job as a delivery driver at a local Gainesville nursery.  Eventually returning to the Brevard County area Jamie has spent the past several years working in property research, her backyard container garden and most recently as a geospatial analyst.   After shadowing an agricultural missionary in Honduras her interest in food systems and availability had begun and her hunt for the right program to develop a skill base was underway.  She attended the program in 2011 and stayed on in 2012 as the farm's Propagation Manager and an Assistant Instructor for the program.  In addition to plants, Jamie also likes to get down with bicycles, kayaks, maps and books.
